dont your rules say it has to be a SA helmet?

 

Yah NEVER buy a used helmet from ebay.. not sure ifi would get a used one ever anyways.....

Guy i race with was doing a street race (organized) and crashed around 60-70 mph bent the kart in to unusable condition hit and slid down the pavement an his noggin is just fine.

Definetly get the DOT and snell approving...

217-877-8877.. Laukaitis Racing in Illinois has vega and Zamp helmets onsale sometimes. They are a national known kart shop... just not sure if they would have the flat black you want.

Either way goodluck.. and i will probably still have my head in a zamp this year...

One thing i will say is the simpson helmets are soo light and comfortable...but not enough for me to spend the money.

What ever you do, DO NOT BUY Zamp. Terrible terrible helmets. I would always recommend a company that SPECIALIZES in racing products. I have worn Pyrotect for years.

 

I've been happy with my hjc ar10. It is SA rated and not an outrageous price. Comes in flat black too i purchased from touge racing for a good price.

 

why would you not recommend Zamp? I am looking into a SA2010 for a good price and read pretty good reviews about this helmet.
