Which one Axxis/HPS+/EBC
I completely read through the pad database and notice it is more estalished by those who HPDE. So let me know what you autocrossers have tried and tested. After a very dissapointing autox day, it's time to change some things. Most importantly my pads. I purchased Hawk HPS pads long ago before researching and had to find out the hard way. Days before the event I noticed the lack of bite & slow modulation. There is no confidence in these pads and I set the ABS off a lot because of the delayed pedal feel. I dropped from 2nd in SMST the previous month to last, out of 10 cars (1.13 second behind the 2nd place) First is a modded evo with a nasty driver way out of my comp league.
Last month-stock rotors/pads falken 452's 245/35/19 275/30/19
Current-Rotora 1-piece slotted/ Hawk HPS RT-615's 255/40/17 275/40/17
I have a buddy with the Axxis Ult on a CSP miata and they bite great once heated. After testing them this evening I just want to make sure what others think compared to others listed in my title.
Thanks in advance for your help!

you can also look around carbotech's website. www.ctbrakes.com I have the xp8's and they need a little heat in them. if your car cools down between runs maybe try the ax6's? also worth noting, carbotech recommends sanding old rotors or getting new rotors with their pads to get best performance because of the transfer layer.
i personally wouldn't get EBC. Hawk HP+ and above will be corrosive to your rims so if you get those make sure to wash your wheels regularly.
i read the ultimates are pretty good bang for the buck if you know you won't exceed their operating temps.

+1 for Carbotech. I run the Bobcats daily and XP8 for track. The AX-6 sound like they would be a nice choice for you. Their customer service is great if you just call them up with questions.
Also had the Axxis ULT's. Great for daily driving, much better than the HPS. However, after a very hard track day they were finished.

Thanks for that, I'll give carbotech a call. My car definately cools between heats, I'd say a good 20 mins of down time. I will brake and gas a little and try to do some 20-0 before i reach the start line. These are also 1 minute or less runs, so I don't really see me exceeding temps of 900 degrees on the pads, I could be wrong though. I wash my car once a week, is that often enough to protect my volks from a corrosive pad? Ult's were just a top on my list since i was quoted 105 shipped all four non-brembo, and I did just get new rotors, that's why I want to change these pads now, as I only have 300 miles on the rotors.

Thanks for the lead to carbotech. It's reassuring the sales dept. actually uses and knows their product. After calling, multiple companies I found these to be most promising. Orderd a set of AX-6, excited to see their performance
