Default Forged Performance: Road Atlanta POV with 996 GT3

A buddy of mine mounted a gopro on his helmet while I gave him a ride in our 996 GT3. It's an interesting perspective that really captures how insane Road Atlanta really is. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

Regards,

Sharif, have you ever drove a Cayman S around the track? and how you compare it to the 996 GT3?

Nice video. I'm trying to prepare my Z for HPDEs later this year and when I did my first many years ago, I did all my braking with the brakes. I got massive brake fade (Stop Tech Stage 2s which are OEM size for the '04 non Brembo).

How much would you say is your braking by engine braking going in to a turn?

I have. It's a very fun and easy car to drive. Much more forgiving than the GT3 and feels extremely balanced. Race prepared, they will rival the GT3.

Depends on the corner, but I do very little engine braking. I'd say around 20% or less. I get 60% of my braking out of the way before even beginning to downshift. If it wasn't my car, I am sure I would treat it a little rougher.
