I'll also be instructing. I've instucted for a few of the Z-Nats at TGPR. I've ridden in a lot of Z,s but never driven one until a few weeks ago when I picked up a stock 07 SMB.

I can't wait to see how it does at the track.

Just to let everyone know we plan on running the infield twisties and part of the banked track as well. I didn't want everyone thinking we were just going to run around the oval. This will be an extremely fast track. If you have ever wanted to push your car this is the the time to do it.

Make sure you have pads to back up the speed though. Those stock pads are going to fade fast stopping from 120-160mph.

 

We hope to have this car in atlanta for the track day. Even if you arent planning on driving it should be a nice day to be a spectator. There are a couple other really fast cars scheduled to attend.

Watch around the minute and a half mark when the car blows by the other ones in the straight. Also look at how much he closes on the car in front of it in the straight.

+1 Russell on the brake pad comment, just like you would buy Z rated tires for the speeds these cars will do, make sure you get track pads that will stop you from high speeds, repeatedly.

Does anyone have a set of track tires/wheels for a 07 350Z I could rent for this event?
I would be happy to provide a refundable cash damage deposit along with the rental fee.
It's been a long time since I've tracked a car on street rubber. Not that it wouldn't be fun sliding around but I'd rather be on something sticky.
