Default Friendly Motorsport reminder....

....always torque to spec and use Loc-tite of crucial bits/parts. I was co-driving this S2000 when the lower ball joint stud snapped, dropping the LCA onto the wheel and "lathing" it to the point of a 360 degree crack in the middle of the wheel. This all happened in a heavy braking zone/lower speed section of the course. Freak stuff happens but it happens with more frequency if you're not careful. Be safe everyone

Let me iterate.....the lower control arm caused the failure of the wheel. This was a factory Honda wheel.

Also a good reminder that a scheduled parts replacement policy is better then a run it until it breaks replacement policy.
