Clutch trouble at the track.
I understand. Learning to heel-and-toe downshift takes time. Keep practicing even at low speed turns on the street. If you're not rev matching while performing a heel-and-toe downshift, you're really not doing it correctly. It's the entire reason for using that technique.
I copied the information for the CSC recall (posted higher up in this thread), wrote my VIN down as well as an explanation of the problem I'd had (without mention that the problem occurred at the track) and sent my wife to the Nissan dealership with that info.
She talked to a service rep who looked up my VIN and said that even though it fell within the stated range that it did not qualify for the recall. But he told my wife that there was a Nissan rep (whatever that is) at the dealership and he would talk to him. My wife called him later and they told her they would replace the CSC for free and made an appointment to have it done. They did not look at the car.
I guess they figured that even if it did not qualify for the recall it is still under warranty.
Anyway, that's worked out well so far. I'll get them to put ATE Super Blue in.

I don't know if I'm lucky or not. They have to remove the transmission to do this job and that makes me nervous. Plus, the CSC has not actually failed. I think the heart of the matter is just old fluid and bad technique.
On the other hand, if the old type CSC is prone to failure then I sure want the better type because I do plan on tracking the car....more than I first expected that I would. I'm hoping to go 6 times a year. Been twice this year already. Going again in April. So I need things to work right. Track days are not cheap and a clutch or brake problem could ruin a track day.

I had my csc replaced under the recall on my '07
the mushy pedal occurs less but it does occur when driven very hard.. like when I do WOT runs on these back farmroads near me I have no problem.. however if I recall the last time I went to the drag strip i was getting the mushy pedal again.. i think i may just have to replace my clutch fluid

My appointment to get the CSC replaced is tomorrow. I didn't realize it was this soon until my wife reminded me (she set the appointment). Because of that I did not have time to buy any decent fluid to put in it. There is nowhere to pick up anything like ATE, Motul or SRF around here. So I'll have to settle with whatever Nissan puts in them. I found some Valvoline Synthetic DOT 3 & 4 but I really don't think it is any better than the average stuff.
The Valvoline synthetic dot 4 is what I used for my clutch and no problems so far (3 track days). If your Nissan dealer is GTR certified you could ask them if they have any of the GTR specific brake fluid (dot 4) in stock but honesty not sure if it is any better than Valvoline synthetic dot 4.

The job is done. Doesn't feel a bit different but I did not expect it to. They put DOT 5 in it. Wish they hadn't. I've got a track day in a few weeks. Will try it as is and see how it does. If no problems then I'll leave it alone. If it gets sloppy again I'll put ATE Super Blue in there when I get the brakes flushed.....I may just do that anyway.
I've never been up under this car, I sure hope there is a way to bleed the clutch hydraulics without accessing the slave cylinder!

Thank goodness. And did the same engineer that put the CSC inside the bell housing have the common sense to put the bleed valve on the outside? And does anyone have any idea why they put the CSC inside the bell housing in the first place? What is the upside? Just curious.
