The 10.5 RPF1's (+15) fit with no issue front and rear. I would opt for the 11's myself. The 285/35/18 on an 11 is going to rub up front in ST trim me thinks....

Unofficial "official" word from Andy Hollis is that the Oct fasttrack minutes are passed. That means 350Z and C5 vette to STU

Just curious, where is the "official" release confirming the STU switch?

Generally once it progresses beyond the SEB stage....it's a done deal. There are some times when that is not the case, but rarely.

Hmmm I had 285 RS3's on a 18x10" +20 and they rubbed in the rear, pretty bad too. However, I have stop tech rotor's and the hats seem to be thicker, but I can't imagine more than 2-4mm. I'd like to get 315's out back but I have not yet researched what offset I'll need to make it fit with an 11" wheel. Right now I fight putting down the power with R888's 275-35-18's to about 60-70 mph depending on tread life, and surface conditions.

I run 315's on 12's.....my rear fenders are just slightly flared (pushed out hard with a fender roller).

The front fenders are pushed a little bit as well but I only use an 11" wheel with a 315.

I've got a fender roller but I didn't want to do anything until I mount up a wheel tire combo. Would you be willing to share what offsets your have on your 12" wheels?

What has to be modified about the Kinetix arms to be used for SCCA?

This is copied from Slaloms post earlier in this thread.

"Mike, regarding the Kinetix arms, my math shows the latest versions are legal based on metal content as well as % vs stock. Additionally, I have personal issues with the metal content rule in poly applications given that delrin is ultimately allowed. There is massive compliance difference between poly and delrin. Delrin has a place in SP, but not in ST...IMO."

I also agree that the math works and the Kinetix's are legal. I have the latest version of the arms.

Just picked up rpf1's 18 X 10.5 for all four corners. RS3's going on this week.

Interesting spec on the RS3 from the tire rack info. The 275/18 has more tread width the the 285/18. 10.2inchs vs 10.1. Going to try the 275, i'll get a little more sidewall stretch and all the tread width.

Well, I did one trial event with the STU wheel/tire package and came away with no signs of rubbage. 18x11 +20 (CHEEEEAP) XXR's with 285/35-18 RS3's, 3mm spacers all around. The spacers are required for front inboard clearance and I chose to run some in the rear to keep a square setup. Front fenders have been hammered flat per ST allowances, rears were moved about halfway to flat. Note that I'm running quite a bit of camber, I'd guess the front is between 3.5 to 4 deg and the rear around 3 deg.

Limits are significantly higher, however the car definitely feels heavier on its feet. Now to begin suspension tuning. Car's going to be a LOT more fun in this trim.

Brian, did you grab a weight on those XXRs before the tires went on?
I know they're cheap wheels.. but I am a touch curious.

A very unscientific "step on the bathroom scale holding the wheel" showed them at ~25.5 lbs. This makes them an absolute steal when big Enkeis and CCW's come in at 22+ lbs.

That said, two of the wheels took quite a bit of balancing weight and they don't seem to ride all that well. Both the wheels and spacers are not hubcentric so it may not be the wheels themselves. I'm not too concerned though as these will be towed around to most events behind my car on a tire trailer.

My 18x10.5 RPF1's were about 20, but the 18x11 CCW's are 22-23. You definitely want to run the x11 with the 285 IMO. Brian, get some weight off that fatty of a car!

Are there Brembos behind those wheels or just the "regular" brakes?

Not brembo's....I think both of us have run into brake issues using the base brakes. I use heavish stoptech's up front and brembo's (with 2 piece rotors) in back on the BSP car.

Curious as to fitting those 18x11 XXRs over the brembos. They dont look Brembo friendly from the outside.

I run the XXR 530 in 18x9.75" over Brembos and they have worked out well. But I'd like wider like Brian to be able to run 285s
