Default Quarter Master Clutch

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone has ever thought about trying to use one of the quarter master clutches a lot of the Vette guys use. I got to drive my buddies Z06 on track and that clutch pack is so unbelievable light the engine revs so easy and heel toe downshifting is a breeze.

I don't know if they even make a clutch to fit our bolt pattern though. From what I know, they take an OEM flex plate and bolt this tiny little 7" or 5.5" triple disc clutch pack to it. It is so light and very durable. I don't think there are any other clutches offered for our cars that would be this light. If there are, please let me know. After driving his car and feeling how easy the car revs up and down, I am determined to get something just like that.

Aasco makes a flywheel that works with a tilton 7.25 clutch with a twin or triple disc. Mine Works excellent and is probably the lightest you will find for our cars unless you go full race with a sequential trans and 5.5 or less.

Nice! Thanks. My car is full race, but I am not a baller and can't afford a sequential trans.

Do you know how light their flywheel is? I checked out their webpage, but I did not see any weights.

Nevermind. I found some info on it.

This is about like the Quarter master kits the Vette guys use. Really small clutch, really lightweight and can handle a lot of abuse. I think I will go this route. I think my buddies is a 7" and I know some of the guys go down to 5". it's insane.

I weighed mine and the flywheel was 9 lbs. with the clutch at 9lbs with hardware. Great unit. There is a small vid in my build thread in the N/A section on how I revs.
