Default need more camber!

with the stock front upper control arms i am maxed out at -1.6 degrees of camber. this is wearing the outsides of the front tires pretty badly. So I am curious if there is any way to add additional front camber without aftermarket UCA?

Press in offset bushings. That said, they are a pain the *** to press in and you will have to get them made. You are better off dropping some money on aftermarket UCA's....

Custom offset delrin dushings or this company from Australia has an over the counter front UCA offset bushing offering for the 350z (cannot vouch for them just saw their name pop up):

http://www.superpro.com.au/?v=nissan...99501121/20676

They advertise an addl 0.5deg neg front camber, I think you may be able to squeeze out a little more if you made custom delrin pieces.

Those blisters on your NT01s suck! I remember from the first track day you had them on at PBIR the outer tread wore down to slick, I remember thinking that seemed somewhat premature. Ive seen pics of NT01s with multiple days on them and the wear still looked even across the tread, obviously before the whole tread wore to slick. Hope this helps!

I contacted the guys at Condor Speed Shop here in S FL about making offset bushings to get more negative camber. If there is more interest other than myself then I bet they would be more willing to get it done and for a good price. Those guys make really good stuff for the SpecE30s would be nice to get offset bushings for the Z.

They asked me to get them an UCA so they can see if it would be possible to get it done. I am thinking of buying a cheap aftermarket one from RockAuto and have it shipped to them.

Interested?

Oh and IIRC I saw it mentioned by terrasmak that you can bend your spindle...I probably wouldn't go through all that trouble but I think it could work

Ok, I ordered the control arm and let Condor Speed Shop know that there could be more interest.

If the bushing material works and is legal for NASA TT/PT I think others would also give these a try.

If anyone else is interested or has advice on these, please chime in!

Not sure if that would necessarily be legal for TT, but I checked w/ the TT Directors and they don't see an issue w/ the material that these guys use. But I would have to clear w/ them (literally send them the piece for inspection) to ensure legality, at least for TT/PT.

hey Leo. yes I am definitely interested if Condor can make them. Do you know what material they plan on making the bushing from? I seem to recall that if they are made with delrin they shouldn't incur any penalty for TT/PT. But best to have them officially clear it so there is no chance of a problem going forward. I've been meaning to contact Z1 in Georgia about this since they run a specZ which I assume can't run aftermarket UCA either. But if they can be done locally, even better.

Spec Z can run adjustable UCA's now. Carlos uses UHMW to make all of Condor's bushing unless otherwise noted.

UHMW is probably a better material choice...harder for them to machine but more resistance to deformation over time and more dimensionally stable under loads...quite a bit cheaper also. Nice...

are you guy hinting at there being something wrong with using offset bushings in the oem ucas? Or just letting us know you are not interested? If there is an issue with this, please elaborate.

^LMAO I know I was thinking the same thing...so much hinting, track guys are always so cryptic.

Maybe theyre alluding to delrin bushings generally being a shorter term option since they tend to get sloppy and noisy and such???
