Greg,
A throttle restrictor is a aluminum plate that fits in front of the throttle body that has a hole in it with a specific diameter, so it effectively chokes the motor on the ammount of air that it is getting since the hole is smaller than the diameter of the throttle body opening. This effectively lowers horsepower because the engine is breathing through a smaller opening.

I like your graphics on the car but not the colors, red and yellow is a big no-no, looks like a Ronald McDonald car, subsitute the red with another color, I would suggest gray or maybe blue.

Dont make it too complicated, if Josh is in my way and I need to nudge him a bit you need to be able to repair it easily....

we tried blue but it doesn't look as good as the ronald McDonald colors.

as far as the throttle restrictor goes I thought that was called a ristrictor plate but thanks for clarriffing. Isn't it true that throttle restrickted plates will make close to the same tq numbers but lower HP, am i right about that?

Try Gray or Black. Of course if you go with the Red and Yellow and I see you guys at any of the races, you are going to mysteriouly find Happy Meals inside the car

Throttle restrictor/Restrictor Plate at least in my vocabulary are interchangable, I guess Restrictor Plate is the most common description.

Dont know how it will effect torque, should lower horsepower and torque. They definately work, they do slow cars down as witnessed with the Camaro and for awhile, the Mustang Cobra. I suspect that when the final specs are worked out you may have some weight added to the car as well....
