I've got a pass waiting for me at Will Call, so I'll come by to say hello Jeff/BJ. I might be arriving in the EVO instead of the Z though, as the Z is tucked away in the garage awaiting the trip to SEMA and the EVO is already dirty!
Well, got back from the event today. looked like the Z 's got a little smacked around out there (bumping and rubbing I mean). I had to leave before the finish unfortunately so I never saw who won (I'll assume it was the silver Tim Horton's 911) but Performance Nissan came to play, running 2nd in class before an on track incident damaged the car. I never did see how it happened. It was great to see all the Z's out there! See you guys next year.
It was a great race! all the Z's completed the whole 89 laps, and the 350EVO cars still shined like new with barely any scrapes
I believe the finishing order was something like this:
3'rd Place #13 Performance Nissan
4'th Place #23 Performance Nissan
7 or 8'th place #35 Schuitemaker/350 EVO
9 or 10'th place #33 Performance Nissan (after being knocked out of 3'rd in the opening laps by a 996 and having a flat and coming in for a drive through penalty for speeding in the pits
)
13'th Place #34 Schuitemaker/350 EVO
I could be wrong on these finishing places, it is what I remember seeing on the pit wall during the last lap...
Overall I had a great time, it was great meeting BJ and John from 350 EVO, they where very welcoming and are a great assett to the 350Z parts industry.
Also got to hang in the Performance Nissan VIP room for a bit with the triple J's (Jeff, Jason, Jenny) Mike Cronin actually introduced himself as well, he seemed very pleased that a 350Z enthusiast/owner was there to support the team!
See you all back at California Speedway at the JGTC event in December!

The #17 996 Porsche ran in the top 3 for nearly 3 hours to win the race. The #9 3 Series BMW automatic would have had 2nd place but had to pit for fuel with 2 laps remaining. It was a great day for the 350Z with 4 cars finishing in the top 10. The Zs were fun to watch and were super competitive all over the track.

Good luck guys!
