If you are looking for something to do with the Thanksgiving long weekend you might consider the Tracquest DE at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Al. They have a pretty stout line up of cars coming to the event. Several Z06s, ferrrari 360 modena, turbo Porsches, Porsche GT3, couple of Vipers, Lotus Elise and even a Chevy tube frame racing truck! While entry is not cheap getting over five hours of track time in two days is not unusual. For more details go to

I've heard great things about TracQuest, and I was planning on driving this event. Unfortunately, I won't be making it since it's 800 miles each way to Barber and I'm not going to make the journey unless I'm towing the car.

Sorry you cant' make it. Yes it is a very nice facility. I would be afraid to drive 800 miles and drive my car hard for two days and not worry about what I might wear out before the ride back.
