my front bumper and diffuser arrived today. looks fantastic. Ill be fitting it this weekend and then getting it painted in the coming week. Ill take pictures whenever I can remember.
but it really does look great. I like the look of the bumper, but certain angles I wasnt sure about in photos(the design itself, not specific to the replica). Im pleasantly suprised by it in person, it is very proportional; cant wait to see it installed and with the bumper cut for the lip.
Ill try and maybe make a template for what I cut if I get it right.

Good impressions Ares. I was on the fence when i first looked up this bumper...but looking at some of the more recent pics, it looks pretty sweet, and im 99% sure on the choice.
One question Ares,
I'm looking for a bumper that will make my car look like a unique car but one that could have came from the factory looking like that. And the nismo v1 and v2 was an option, but it was a little too plain for my taste. After seeing the amuse in person, does it fit that description well?

thats what I was going for also, I was torn between this and the vertex. but vertex just didnt stand out, nismo was way too generic to justify the expense. at the same time I didnt want to go extreme for the sake of going extreme.
with the diffuser, I think its plenty "different", but not offensive. without the diffuser, it might still have been a bit tame for my tastes.
of course the real test is when it is installed, hard to get a good feel when its a kinda semi-glosss black, with an unfitted lip laying on the floor.

today I settled down for what I expected to be a long and difficult day of test fitting and prep.
quickly got the old bumper off to find a bunch of broken bits of plastic from who knows what. who cares right? car runs, obviously not important whatever they were.
test fitted the bumper, there were some random plastic boxes out front held on by the pop rivot clips, yanked all that crap. woot weight savings!
ok, now the bumper fits.
so I eyeballed where the holes were under the bumper, punched a pilot hole then bored it out to match the hole beneath it. coming along nicely at this point. the fitment appears dead on.
I took a sheet of paper and did an impression of the holes on the stock bumper, cut it out with a razor and used that as a guide to put the new holes in. somehow this worked and I hooked up the side of the bumper.
took about an hour to do that, and the new bumper was installed, and fitting near perfect. if I had to nitpick, a bit of a gap under the headlights, but its not visible unless you look at it from the headlight level, since I dont know anyone under 2' tall, no problem. someone with more skills than me could probably fill that in.
next was the diffuser, ok, does not work without cutting... I mean, it could, but not very good. I used a sharpy to mark the line where the diffuser was(which was not where it needed to be from the bumper being in the way), then I proceeded to take a jigsaw and cut about half an inch below that. I then cut straight across the bottom to remove that whole section. I saved 1 complete section which I will photograph to show what I removed for others to have a better idea of it. Im not sure if I could make a pattern since its multidimensional, but Ill try.
put the lip back on and it was perfect. lip fit like a glove onto the bumper, not gap, no holes, looks awesome together. and its not even painted yet.
there was a series of screw mounts in the lip, but lack of xray vision made it impossible to drill the bumper for them without trial and error. so I just did the outside 2 on the ends to support that, and then put the 4 across the front(which IMO you could not cut off and remove; not without serious fabrication to clean up the cut edge) but my car is black, there is no 2 tone going on, so Im not concerned about it.
now I do not want to take it back off, just because Im lazy... so Im going to see if they can paint it already installed.
in other news, the wheel well went back in without any cutting required.
Ill take some pictures tomorrow, I was too busy today running to the shower to scrub the fiberglass out of my hands and arms.

Good write up Ares. Very good.
Slight back order on the front bumpers but sides, rear, and diffusers are well in stock. Its just a matter of making the order and getting in line. We ALWAYS deliver, so not to worry.

Hey Ken. Just to clarify if your using the diffuser you have to remove the whole front bumper for an oil change right?
I know it's not on my order but i keep looking at the pictures and its so hot.. I'll be damned if I'm popping the front bumper every 4000km though.
P.S Did you get my extra payment for the Varis (style) duct..?

here is is all painted and installed. looks great, black kinda hides the curves of it unfortunatly, no shadows to see. but still looks great.
Im not concerned about the oil bit. I have the diffuser held on with 6 allen screws(4 on the front across that upper thing, 2 on the edges to support them) and then 4 screws underneith and the 1 rivot clip. I can drop the diffuser off in about 2minuts with an allen wrench, 10mm wrench, and flat screwdriver. I do NOT need to remove the bumper, nor the wheel wells. and you could drop the diffuser at home and drive to the oil change shop, as I mounted the bumper onto the car in the parking lot of the paint place to get it home, drive about 10 miles with no diffuser supporting the bottom, but I went <40mph the whole way to be sure.
my car is stock height btw, so you can see the clearance i have in the last 2 pics, suspension is 100% unmodified.
