How close to the oil pan is it? In particular, with an oil pan spacer which drops the bottom of the oil pan down another 3/4" or so, how would it fit?

I'm talking for a G35 coupe, but I am sure the answer is the same for a Z

There is plenty of room for the deeper pans and cars with pan spacers, I would guess about 1/2-3/4" clearance with the V2. This shield will be about 1/4" lower than the bottom of the cross member so you can look at where the lowest point of your pan is VS where the lowest point on the cross member is. Even with the V1 shield there was about 1/4" clearance with the APS oil pan. The V2 is at least 1/2" lower than the V1 shield at the pan area.

Here is a side view of the V2 installed, You can see how the change to the V2's bend points gave it more clearance for the pan.

V2

V1

The answer is very simple - if your stock splash shield will fit, this will fit...if not, it will not fit.

Got mine installed today, looks great, and fits great, even with an oil pan spacer AND a larger oil pan (APS pan)

Everything is quite well done, highly recommended
