Mine's Carbon Fiber Front Lip from EVO-R
Ouch!
Man I'd be bummed too!
Especially waiting for this lip...then this happens!
Possibly there was a rush by EVO-R to get these out?
DUNNO?
When I got mine, the packaging was great...carboard supports in the shipping box..mucho bubble wrap.
Good thing it was'nt the CF version...

does anyone notice the lip feels like its kinda loose in the middle? There is nothing to support the middle, only a few bolts on both side.. I was able to put my hand on the bottom in the middle of the lip and move it up and down... It feels very loose.
Granted i drove on highway, 1000 miles back and forth and it still standing.. but in the back of my head, i'm still fear it might come off some day while driving on the highway and create a lot of damage.
Anyone experience similar problem? What is your solution?

My lip feels pretty secure
Do you mind take some pics of your lip in the middle with the tape, up close and detail so i can do the same to mine?
Thanks a lot!
jay, my dad is trying to email you but your inbox is full. any way you can send that letter showing he indeed purchased the lip from you to fedex - so they will reimburse the money it cost him out of his own pocket to cover the damages? he's looking for a reply soon.
thx!

yes but it felt off because the tape doesnt have a lot of surface on the OEM bumper to stick to.. so rain, snow and car wash had made it not adhesive anymore.. I have try 3M double side tape but still no success..

plenty of surface to adhere the lip.The top part is the critical part. Also, when
installing ANY body part, you need to put 3-M tape on ALL edges that will touch the body.I used 3-M tape along all edges on both sides of the bumper.
The amount of 3-M tape supplied with the EVO-R lip is only enough for the center section. You can buy 3-M ACRYLIC PLUS TAPE PART#06382 AT MOST
PAINT/BODY SUPPLY OUTLETS.It comes in 1/2" size...costs about $35 for
20yds.--you will have plenty left over. But this is what the pros use to attach
exterior trim parts. Its not the same as the stuff you get at Home Depot.
My lip is ON!I doubt if I could pull it off...
This is the best fitting lip I've ever seen--fits like a glove.
I think you just did not do enough prep..
Best thing to do is start over.Remove the lip.Peel off or,remove all traces of the 3-m tape with 3-m
adhesive remover/goo-gone etc--use a razor blade to lift off the residue.Clean with 90% alcohol.
Reapply tape..Start with the center section first.Get that pressed in...work towards the sides, pressing in on the edges so that the tape sticks.Pull the edges around the wheel wells.
Install the 4 bolts under the car.Fasten the edges of the lip at the wheel well edge with one self tapping screw.
This should be on right.
Good luck!
I'll be glad to send you close ups--PM me.
