Yep, it definitely fits perfect. Very snug.
Still just a test fit, but it's going to be awesome.
I'm going to have to clean up inside the wheel well on the driver's side before I can do a final mounting. I got some small scratches that pushed against the lip tab just enough to cause some cracking of the tab No problems on the passenger's side.
Looks like you pressed against the tab while test fitting, instead of looking to see if it was wrapped around the wheel well lip.Not a big problem.I'd fix the tab, actually reinforce it with some fiberglass from behind.Cut a piece of cloth(or 2)to match the shape of the tab.Apply the resin...sand it down smooth
and attach. You may have some surface cracks in the clearcoat&CF.Since its in an area where it really is not noticeable,I'd use some gloss black touch up
paint..several coats to cover any cracks.Attach the tab-self tapping screw,
paint the screw head black...your good to go!
i got my 06-08 VSV1 CF lip and nothing would align correctly...
going to try to heat it up with a heat gun when I have time.
any suggestions guys?
yes, the lip Jay sent me is for the correct year as I know the difference between the 03's vs the 06's
Have you actually installed the lip or,have you just test fitted it against the bumper? From my experience with this lip, when you press on the centersection,it appears that the lip is too small,no way its gonna fit.
It will look that way.But after you pull it back and install the 2 bolts underneath at either side(it will take a bit of pulling)it will pop into place.Be sure to pull the small tabs at each end AROUND the wheel well edges before
pulling and installing the bolts. If by chance those holes do not line up,you were sent the wrong lip.

i just attempted to test fit it as i had limited time. i didnt have access to any jacks or planks to get my car up so i was just sitting on the floor attempting to line it up.
i was told to start from the middle then work my way towards each side.
I guess i was afraid of cracking the CF if i pulled too hard.
also, im positive the lip is for my 06-08 bumper. the center grill section has an indent whereas the 03-05 is just a flat surface.

You don't need any of that unless you're riding herra low.

it's normal when I make a simply test it wasn't fitting too. But when you fixed it it's ok
