How to make a kick *** gauge pod!

so the pic of your guage pillar just 'happened' to be taken while it was sitting on a ferrari (i'm sure that was just the nearest available place to put it), and now when people ask you questions about the ferrari you ignore them. kinda weak IMO.
listen up, this is not a chat room. i posted this thread to help people who want to make their own gauge pods since there is none made yet. and who cares if the items were placed on the ferrari. my sanding bench is next to where the car is. if i choose to not answer questions that do not pertain to the thread than so what. and why would I want to show a picture of a customers car when it has nothing to do with the thread. stop your bitching and find the chat room.
for those of you who asked, I think a 3 gauge set up would work. i chose to paint mine the exterior color. i am in the process of painting some of the interior plastics the same color. if you guys like w can make it for you, but like i said it would be cheaper to make yourselfs. email at sung@kbodyshop.com

btw, i wasn't implying your thread wasn't appreciated either. we need more how to threads like this. you posted a pic of a ferrari on a car enthusiast message board like it was a work bench or something. people just wanted to know what the deal was. would have taken you this much effort to answer: "customer's car."

hey why are we giving m3power such a hard time? he's nice enough to post a DIY guide for us on how to make the gauge pillars... i for one don't care where the ferrari came from... with this guy's talent, i wouldn't be surprised if it was his own
this thread really reminds me of the thread about James Chen and how no one believe it when he posted a pic of his yellow Z

with that said...
what kind of paint did you use!!?!?!
i'm just curious because if it's spray paint, i'm quite impressed with the quality... and i'd want to use the same approach to repair my chipped splash guards

We ended up painting both pillars. Adn yes, it's just a generic Autometer part.

what color is your splash gaurds because i have some lying around. they are white.
the parts are not painted with a can but with the same exterior paint. wanted to match the exterior. and also used 3 coats of clear coat. the tough part is applying the exact amount of pearl.
keep asking those kind of questions. thanks

i see at the 5th picture, the surface is kind of wavy/rough from the fiberglass. do i sand it down or do i apply a filler to make it smooth, then sand?
btw, thanks for the DIY... i think this is a great basis for other projects as well.
