Buy what? It's a method of mounting the sensors with parts you can get from any auto parts or hardware store. There's nothing for sale here.

Also keep in mind that the meat of this thread is almost 5 years old now.

do you have to get this if you are going to put sf-challenges?? Im kinda worried about this now. What are the wheels that you will not have to change it for?

I've done it to my 3 piece WORK Meister S1. It works like a charm!

As future reference ford has been doing this for years a million years, its a two piece set usually, the sensor itself and we sell the straps, lol.

All you need to do is break the beed on the spare tire, and put all 4 TPMS inside spare, seal it back, inflate to about 40psi. This should do the trick. Of course spare tire wont be able to be used. I have an 07 enthusi. This has worked for me for about 3 months.

That's a very clever trick. However, what do I do when I got a flat tire? Keep driving on my VOLKS? Or just call a tow truck.

How is one end of the band attached to the other? From the link 2003Z posted, I see those worm gear adjutable parts. Would those work to hold it or would they become loose after awhile? Thanks in advance.

If you dont want to use the spare, then try riding mower rear tire or front tire, lay it in spare tire compartment. As long as the psi in mower tire stays above 30 psi, should work. Has to be worth a try!!! But to answer your question, I would call a tow truck!

They hold it! That's why it's shown above. Just did it relatively recently and w/ 3K plus miles on my Volk GTS's no issues at all! If you need any help on this you can PM me directly or post here, (but I check my PM's more than my old posts on threads).

Just had to put my LF wheel in the trunk due to wheel issues. That said, it seems to prove the above doubtful. Immediately the TPMS warning light lit (it said where's that sensor for that frt lf tire???? - it was in the trunk as your method above states with perfect pressure). When the wheel was put back all was good. Now, I had a '06 that showed the individual pressures per wheel. It took a little distance for it to register the tire pressures after the wheels rolled about a few tenths of a mile. What I'm saying, the wheel sensors need to be near the detectors and rolling to NOT trigger the TPMS idiot light, (have an '08 now). Just my experience and don't want mis-info put on the site.

2007 up! Wheel does not have to be rolling. Idiot light does not come on when car is sitting still in drive-way when you first start car. I used this method for about 3 months, no problem.

If you read my post (quoted above) carefully, this is on my '08. I mentioned the '06 because it's apparent that the same sensor detection thing is going on in both cars ('08 just doesn't tell you the detailed info - just the idiot light). How is it that my wheel in my trunk doesn't keep the light off but your's does? Don't think there's a difference btwn the '07 & '08 just wondering about the info you're putting out.

I'm sorry ZPHILE, I dont know what else to tell you. I used a brand new mower tire ( installed on mower rim) I bought from Wal-mart. I used spare tire for a while, but didn't like idea of not having a spare. I have since changed all of this to the IForged 90 degree TPMS sensor adapter. Sorry I could not help you more.
