Default GT Spec lower tie bars, who likes? Who's interested?

Hello all.
I was just curious as to what you all thought about the GT Spec lower tie braces for the Z. I have them on my car, and i noticed a difference, I like them especially for the wight and price. I know a few others on here have these too, and I was just curious as to what you all thought.

I'm interested, but I read there are some issues with aftermarket exhaust.

The bars will fit many aftermarket exhausts. It will fit injen, stillen, the new hks, and most exhausts on the market. Some may have clearance issues on one of the rear lower bars. But there is some play in the bars when you install them, to move them a little bit. I can't give a list of every exhaust they fit or do not fit, but two of the three bars will fit regardless. There is one bar that comes under the exhaust from side to side, and that's the one that may have issues.

I felt that the car was stiffer in the turns. Just like adding strut bars or tie bars to a car that doesn't have any to begin with. The car pulls out of the turns much better.

I've got the other two. I didn't feel the front as much as the rear.

I'm curious about the third lower bar. Does it fit with the OEM exhaust?

The lateral reinforcement bar which is the one that goes under and accross the exhaust b-pipe does not work with the Fujitsubo Legalis-R. I know becuase I have the 3 bars and cannot use that one due to the bar rubbing against the pipe. You can get it on there, but it will send the exhaust vibrations through the chassis and into the cabin. It is very annoying.

The bars made a big difference in chassis stiffness, but it lost a lot when I took of the lateral bar due to the above problem. The lateral bar seemed to make the most impact on stiffness at least it seemed that way to me. The other 2 do help though.

Interested but I have heard that there may be an issue with the front bar clearing high capacity oil pans or oil pans with spacers.

If the braces work with the Borla, I'm interested.

not sure if it fits the borla. Don't forget, two of three bars WILL work regardless of exhaust. The front will clear the pans, it sits in front of the stock framerail, there shouldn't be an issue, although i've never seen it with a high capacity pan.

FYI - The rear lateral bar won't fit the Nismo exhaust.

I heard a rumor that this company is going to make a revised version for those with Y-pipe type exhaust systems. Is this true? Also is GT Spec and Cusco one in the same?

No. These bars attach to certain points on the front and rear chassis sub-frame itself to add additional stiffness to it. It makes the car feel tighter/more solid. This is not my thread so I won't elaberate on here. I have a thread about my impressions after I installed them.
