Default camber kit important when lowering?

for those that have lowered your Z's, did you install camber kits also? how important and beneficial is it? i'm riding on Vogtland springs, uncut, should i get one?

Have you had it aligned to see if you need one?

i need one ... but didnt get it yet
it would give u better traction and longer life for the tiers .

unfortunately i didn't get it aligned, on the freeway i just did the ghetto method. let go of the steering wheel and see how far i can go straight, but i'm paranoid so... i think i'm going to get the camber kit before i get rims... i mean it's designed to make your wheels not camber in right? so it should be the smartest thing to do, rubbers get expensive

Going straight doesn't mean anything, you could go straight but your toe and camber be out, as long as both sides are the same you will only notice with tire wear patterns.

Have it aligned so you know what parts you need, that way you know if your camber or toe or caster need taken care of.

thx westpak for the informative input... i'm thinking about picking up some rims this week or next week, so hopefully the tire wear won't we be too~>o extensive... 2nd) i've noticed lot of people who list mods in their sig. don't have camber kits, i just thought it would a good investment...

I did the Eibach Pro-kit springs, which give a .8" drop in the front and 1.2" drop in the rear. Ferrari aligned my car and it came in spec for toe at all four corners. Camber came in spec in the front, but the rears were off by the smallest margin. Small enough that I was told that it would be fine to just drive it and see.

I am of course watching the tread for abnormal wear, but so far so good. (Of course I've only put 4,700 miles on the car in a year, so it's gonna take some time).

When I have the money, (post F/I, wheels, etc.) I will likely purchase the 350Evo camber arms just so that I can be 100% in-spec.
