Default DSport Magazine Project G35 Suspension...

Hey guys,

I'm going to be taking my 04' G35 Sports Coupe, DSport Magazine Project G35, out to Button Willow this Sunday during a Speedtrial event to conduct a full test and tune analysis of the stock vs. aftermarket suspension setup. We are going to be testing the JIC FLT-A2 setup and experimenting with different tire pressures, dampening settings, etc...

This is going to part of our ongoing Suspension 101 Series of articles throughout 2005. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks,
Derek

Has the G buildup been featured in any of your magazines yet? If so, which one(s)? I'd really like to keep track of it (or maybe you should just post the pics/write-ups here so we don't have to buy the magazine for a couple pages )

...even though I've bought your magazine several times already...

bwzabodyn - We did an update in issue #25/Jan. on all of DSports Project Cars for 2005. In that article we just outlined the plans for Project G35; fully built motor, 500hp+ on pump, full suspension system, etc... I'll definitely keep everyone up-to-date on Project G35.

Z1 Performance - I'll let you know when our next scheduled track day will be and see what we can do. Zeals are nnniiicceee!

Derek,

Sway bar time. I say go with the Hotchkis do to the weight savings over the cusco.

-Hi Phil, yes i remember. We finished the install at the track but not in time to make it back out for a couple laps so we're going to be going back to Buttonwillow as soon as possible.

The next couple of steps in this suspension buildup will include the installation and testing of front/rear camber arms, traction rods, swaybars, wheels/tires, etc...

-Greg, i'm leaning towards Hotchkis. Definitely very light.

ah but a heavy sway bar should lower the cg At the end of the day, it frankly makes no difference what sways you use, as the only thing that matters is their stiffness relative to stock
