Tein CS Owners
Everyone on the forums seems to say forget about the CS if you want performance. Can someone who has the CS setup quantify this? I love doing the twisties on the weekends and plan to track once or twice per year. Does Tein CS on full stiff still deliver adequate performance for this type of thing?
Currently I've got Hotchkis springs and sways with stock shocks and the ride is too harsh for my Z, being my daily driver, although performance on the twisties is great.
I was going to go with Tein Flex, but after riding in another Roadster with that setup and after searching the forums, the ride on the stiffest setting is still stiffer than stock, so I don't think it would improve my daily commute much.
Thoughts, feedback?

I had a long drawn out conversation with Tein about the CS. The tech and I came to the conclusion that they would not likely offer me what I wanted in the way of performance, that they were true to their marketing, a comfort based system vs performance. Add to this a really high price to revalve should I try them anyway and find them too soft so I bailed on the idea of using them. But that leaves me out in the cold, the current flex setup being too stiff. One can order the JDM Tein flex, which uses the spring rates and valving specs of the original USDM flex system, but who want's to wait 6 to 8 weeks for them to come here by boat. Solution, HKS RS.

I have had the Tein CS on my Z for several months now, with the EDFC (which I totally recommend)...
I absolutly love them. On my daily drive, I have them set to just about medium, front and back. Its a little stiffer that stock on initial compression, but the rebound is a little smoother. The dreadded "Freeway Bounce" is gone.
I don't take my car to the track, but I like to take spirited drives through the mountains, canyons, and twisties. These Coilovers havn't let me down yet. Still stiff enough in the corners to keep you planted, but not stiff enough to knock your teeth out!
I'm adding the Hotchkis Sway bars this weekend, just to further dial in the suspension. I'll try and come back and post a comparison with sways and without.

Awesome, that's exactly what I needed to hear!
