Default Hawk HP Plus Bads

I just bought a set from Tire rack. Anyone use these or heard much about them? I have heard the HPS pads are good but for autoX (I do every other weekend), these would be better. Any input?

I have these pads for the front and use them only on track days. They held up quite fine throughout the day with a little fade at the end so I'm sure for auto-x they would be no problem. According to Hawk they are considered good auto-x pads and light track day pads. I wouldn't leave them on for everyday use though since they have more harsh compounds and will wear your rotors down quicker. Also squeaks will be more appearant if you don't brake hard on them once in a while.

HP PLUS - High Performance Street PLUS Race Worthy

Hawk Performance HP PLUS compound can take the heat at the Track and get you home safely without having to change your brake pads in and out. This compound was designed for the serious street and autocross enthusiast. Warning! Due to the dramatic friction levels produced by this product to achieve "race-level" braking; rotor wear, noise, dust, and pad wear may be increased.

Features

Extremely high friction output

Race worthy for autocross

Race worthy for club racing events

Elevated temperature resistance

I've got a set for daily driving. Very good for Solo2, and acceptable for the street.

They dust a lot and can be noisy but the increased bite is noticeable and usefull. However, I wouldn't trust them on the track. A few high speeds stops in testing convinced me that an upgrade is adviceable.

I've got a set of Ferodo DS2500 on standby to try next. Apparently they're a little easier on rotors, and can withstand a little more track abuse.
