Smile Brake Dust Sucks

Anyone else has problems with excessive brake dust. It seems like within two days of a car was, the front rims are covered with brake dust. The good thing is that the dust is very fine and can be wiped off with a dry cloth. Could it be because of the brakes squeeking during braking?

Get some Hawk HPS pads. They are low dust.

You're not the only one...its so frustrating...the rest of the car stays clean but the front wheels get dirty within two days. I will try those pads next time I do the brakes.

+1 on some of the recommended pads stated above.

The OEM pads are very well known to give out LOTS of brake dust which makes it a PIA to keep your wheels clean.

The more brake dust, the better for braking. This is because brake pad is being wear out. Less dust brake pad means the material is harder. This wears your disc rotor faster

Besides the previous 500 plus “brake dust” posts, this is the first I’ve heard about it.

Brake dust ... I've got a super black - the whole car is covered in dust if I park it outside for an eight hour day. Tree and grass pollen and bird pee - something is leaving small puddles/splash marks. I clean the thing every time I take it outside. Even just on a drive the road dust picks up and covers the lower rocker panels and the rear air damn.

I just recently bought a Frontier so I could retire the Z to its exalted status of "fun" car and no longer a daily driver. Now having a Black Z is the absolute best. So long, crappy looking finish, hello zaino mirror finish.
