Finally decided to get my car aligned after the Eibach pro kit was installed. Of course, I waited until the GT-7s arrived to notice how much the camber was off. Decided on the Cusco front A Arms and SPC rear kit. It took the shop a little while to get it aligned, since this was their first look at the 350Z, but they got it perfect. Since I don't track the car, my main goal was NOT to wear out tires quickly. I guess we will find out after I get some miles on the car how the kits fare. Also, I sold my T1-Rs for some KDW2s. I really like the look and feel of the new tires. Someone got a GREAT deal on some very little used tires! I know he is happy with the purchase, he has already commented on the low tire noise.

Hows the drive? I am considering the Cusco upper a-arms and SPC rear camber/toe adjustments. I have 2 questions
1. Is there any noise from the Cusco a-arms?
2. Any problems losing your alignment after a few bumps?

I don't hear any noises yet. I just had them installed and aligned. Give me a few hundred miles and I'll let you know if it holds the alignment.

I have the Cusco/SPC combo as well. I went to get an alignment last weekend and the shop couldn't get my passenger front back into spec with the Cusco A Arms by .2 . The driver's front got barely in spec at 1.3 . I'm lowered about 1" all around.

BTW, for anyone looking to lower their Z more than an inch in the front, I wouldn't get the Cusco. The 350EVO arms would be a better choice as far as getting back into spec.

I have this setup. If you want more adjustment on the cusco arms, you can cut the piece of metal that is blocking you from getting more positive camber.

The setup is still working great on my car. No worn out tires yet...the rear tires we are not counting. This is because it's not the camber that is wearing them out.

When you guys get your alignments (for non-track drivers), what do you set your cambers to? Do you set them at -1 all around or even closer to 0? Since I don't track my car, I want to get as much life on my new set of tires, yet want to keep factory handling. -1 might be too much I think, perhaps -0.5?

Not true - I am lowered 2 inches and can still get both sides down to 1.2

It's got ALOT to do with your wheels and tires as well - the lower your offset and the wider your front tires, the more askew your camber will be

Second, the car LOVES front camber, and it has nothing but upsides - with -1.5 up front, and a bit more out back, my car is literally the most neutral driving car I've owned to date

^Well, I'm not sure why the alignment shop told me they couldn't get my car back in spec then. Maybe they didn't know that the Cusco A-arms had more adjustment? Also, when my alignment was done, they gave me back 4 hex screws from the top of the arms and told me that there was "no room for these".

BTW, my front tires scrape against the edge of the fenders when I hit dips in the streets. My fronts are 9.5" with +22 offset and 255/35 tires. Would you recommend rasing the front back up a bit to fix this issue or get the fronts to have a little more negative camber?

your wheel tire combo is exactly why they could not get it back to spec.

That being said, I'd run 1.5-2 degrees front camber - it will likely eliminate the rubbing and turn in response will improve

So who has an answer to if the Cusco A-arms will hold up through bumps over time? I'm pretty sure the SPC will hold because they are threaded adjustments, as opposed to the Cusco A-arms, which are bolt adjustments. I want to get this setup as well, but am afraid of squeaking noises or loss of adjustment. On a side note, I hear SPC are in the works with a front kit.

I have been using the Cusco A arms and SPC Camber arms and toe bolts for just about 20k miles. NO squeeks or rattles at all from either set. Both have been working flawlessly for me over the last year. My camber is at -1.5 front and rear and some mild toe in in the front and rear.

I've got the first set of Cusco a arms in the US on my car now for over a year - NYC driving, crappy New York road driving, on a car that is lowered 2 inches. Survived an 80mph impact with a CRATER of a pot hole out on LI (route 110 in Melville for those that know) that literally destroyed one of my coilovers - zero problem with the wheel, tire or a arm though, but my coilover had to be replaced on that one side

Not to worry.. I have the exact same set-up on my UY '05. No noise that I can detect and the ride is smoooooth!! I have 19" all around ( 19x9 front w/ 275/35/19 and 19x10.5 rear w/ 245/35/19). This is an ideal set-up IMO.

Great, I think I'm sold. You guys hear of any word on the SPC front kits soon to come out? I'm thinking of getting this new front kit instead of the Cusco A-arms simply because I trust SPC. If it takes too long, I'll just go with the Cusco/SPC setup, no matter.

I have this set-up on my Z and it's great!! keeps my baby aligned with the 19" Axis Matriz rims I have!! To answer your questions....No....& No!!
