I could get the 6 pot 14" kit for $1650.00. Is it a good kit?

LOL. I hear they make good brake kits. I was seeing if they could make a kit for my A4 but they didn't have anything so I ended up with APracing.

I have the upgrade kit for the OEM calipers. I like it. The braking is a lot better and the rotors don't get near as hot. The pads are great. No dust.

There is a little bit of squeak when you completekly stop. It isn't the entire time the brakes are applied, just right when you completely stop. The one thing I would suggest is to get the calipers and the brackets painted or powdercoated the same color, just to make it look a little nicer. I actually like the look as is though.

Hope this helps

Yes but Stoptech is only a 13" kit with a 4 pot caliper. This kit is less money for a 14" 6 pot caliper. It would be an easy decision to go with Stoptech but if this kit is good and gives you more for the money why not. I don't track the car. I have 19" wheels and don't want the small stock brakes. Most of all the look is what I am after.

2 more pistons doesn't mean much imo.

more pistons generally = better pad wear...
4 piston is one of the perfect ballances between good pad wear and great braking force (clamping)

Actually it is the exact opposite.Racingbrake kits are more geared for performance over looks. This is why they offer oem replacement rotors, and a big brake kit that reuses the stock caliper and relocates it.They also offer only RED as a color, which should tell you right there they are not show, but go orientated.

what do u base this off of?

evrybody has an opinion...i'm wondering if any of the opinions are fact based or just based off the fact that racingbrake is much less expensive, so you all assume that the quality is inferior...

i have been in the market for a big brake kit for some time now...i have a very high horsepower 350 (over 600wheel)...i bough a set of racing brake 14 front rotor with a 6 piston caliper and 13 rear with the relocation bracket...

the price was very good, the quality seems awesome...i will have the brakes here today and i will install them minutes after they reach my hot little hands...
i'll do a complete write up after i have some time to use them under different situations... i could never justify spending near 4k on brakes...what makes them so expensive? seems like the mark up on stereo component cables at an electronics store= ridiculous!!!!!
