Stupid spring question - Espelir Active GT

Default Stupid spring question - Espelir Active GT

Installed some Espelir Active GT springs on the rear today - but really didn't know which end is up!!!!!!

Did a guess - rides good - about a 1/4 inch drop. Will do the fronts later.

My question: did I put them upside down? I put them the opposite of the attached picture - tighter coils on top. Seemed right, and the writing that was painted on was this way.


Am I wrong?

you did what!!!! haha jk man i'll check my car today.. i have the same springs but i didnt install them.. i'll check it out and let you know tonight

Hmmm... my previous progressive Eibachs had the tighter coils on top too.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I did right, it feels right. BTW, hit a skunk today but only got a touch of spray because I was going so fast.

I remember you sent me pics of the springs, I can't remember if I thanked you or not so please except my apology and a thank you. They are progressive. To answer you question, in the end the springs will only install one way and to try the wrong way will simply not work. But in general the which end of the spring that has the most, errr umm pointed end is the end that point's to the ground. Both the rear lower seat and the seat on the front shocks both have a distinct pocket for the springs "pigtail". Hope that makes sense.

It does make sense, and they fit perfect into the socket this way.
