Default 14" RacingBrake vs. Greddy GREX BBK

Hey fellas. I'm looking into purchasing a front BBK for my Z this week. I can get both the Racing Brake 14" 6 piston and Greddy 14" 6 piston brake kits for around $1,600. The Greddy price is wholesale in case you're wondering. RacingBrake is a relatively new company on the market, but the product looks great for the money. As I understand the Greddy calipers are manufactored by Rotora, which is reputable company. Anyway, in terms of track performance, which would be the better kit to go with? Are there any other options for under 2 grand that might be better? I appreciate any insight you guys can give me!

Default 350Zbrakes have the biggest brakes and fit 17 wheels"

I have tracked this system that uses wilwood 6 pot front and 4 pot rear with great results. It has been a depenable syatem and i get good service when I need pads.

Thanks for the info. I'll see what kind of deals I can get on the wilwoods. Kbiz was supposed to design a custom bracket to support wilwood compenents, but his project came to hault for some reason. If I didn't have a budget I'd probably get the stoptechs, but they're over 2500 for the 14", and 1800 or so for the 13's.

C Ray Z: Do you have a Brickyard Z with SSR's? I have a SS with 19" volks and nismo exhaust and some other stuff. I live in Belmont btw. Have you had any issues with the lack of dust boots on your wilwoods? Peace

$1600 is for FRONT only right? or front and back? BTW, you still can get Stoptech 14" front for 2K.

For tracking, i would strongly suggest using Stoptech.

$1600 is for the fronts only. When you say 14" stoptechs for 2k, are you talking about the 4 piston version? I might get those If the price was around there. Time to shop around lol. Thanks again.

YES. it is 4 pot. As for the Stoptech, contact Coz@Concept Z Performance or Tom from Grouppy-S

i think this is a perfect example of known name brands...everybody knows the name stoptech, wilwood, brembo...

i had been intersted in racingbrake's products last year when i saw one of their adds..i have been putting off getting a bbk for some time...after doing some research and looking at their design on their site, i decided to call for more info...i talked to steve, he answered all of my questions, it seemed clear than the only reason everybody spends 3k+ for a bbk, is because it is a habit...i never got a bbk in the past because this seemed so overpriced (and it is!)

i bought the racingbrake setup, 14 inch front with 6 piston caliper, 13 inch rear with relocation bracket (and i'll paint the rest of the caliper soon to match)...i was VERY impressed with the quality of this setup, they have a unique vane design (check the site), that to my knowledge, even the other, more expensive competition doesn't have!...

The brake kit looks awesome..and cost me much less than one of the other brands..i predict racingbrake will be a well known name very soon in the 350z arena, more people will get the kit, realize that the setup works just as well (if not better--special design) than the competition...
any questions on my feedback, feel free to pm me, you all know i have been very active on this forum for the past 2 years, i drive a 600+rwhp 350z and love the new brake setup!!!

350Z / G35 03-05 6-piston 14" BBK FRONT (Straight Slot)

This kit includes:

* 2 Two-piece center-mount 14" rotors (355x32mm)
* 2 6-Piston calipers
* 2 Aluminum adapters and mounting hardware
* 1 Set brake pad (P/N=PDS110-11, Hawk HPS HB110F.654)
If you're looking for pads for your Rotora's (which I've noticed you are looking for), you might want to call them first if they fit.
