Default Lowering - Nismo

Hey All,
I am considering lowering my car again, and I have some of the same fears that made me tear off the Eibachs I had on my last Z. I don't want to scrape! I am told the Nismos are a bit higher - is this the case? Would I have less of a chance to scrape if I used the Nismo springs? Can I get away with this mod without making any additional suspension adjustments? Will this affect how my tires wear? I am just looking to lose the gap in my wheel well that resulted from adding the 19s....advice?

There is two types of nismo springs.

The original ones and the SCCA2, 0.6 and 1 inch all around respectfully.

I have the SCCA2s and I have only bottomed out once, it was on a speed bump. They are suppose to be stiffer then eibachs.

I have the "original ones", and have never scraped. Car looks great too with 19s, IMHO. These are the perfect ride height for a daily driver/occasional weekend track warrior.

DO you mean that you have the stock springs? Anyone have a link to exactly what I'd need to buy for the Nismo kit? Is it just springs, or are there additional suspension components? Really what I am worried about most is the parking garage at work - there is a pretty steep slope I have to go down every morning, and that is where I scraped every time with the Eibachs - no matter what angle I took it at. Of course I could always park across the street and rely on the security guard to watch the car. It is worth it I suppose, except when July/August comes around and it is 115 degrees outside.

there are 3 options when you speak of NISMO.

The two spring sets I spoke of, AND the WHOLE suspension package that Jason is referring to.

As far as scraping, I guess you might need to get something that is not a LOW as your previous kit. To aviod it, if you tried everything else.

NISMO S-Tune suspension is a shock and spring package...

Here is a picture of what you get with the NISMO Suspension...

Actually this picture also shows rear dust boot and rear upper mount which are used from your stock shocks...

There is also the NISMO T2 Spring Package.. Very high spring rate, lowers the car 1" all around... You do not want to use these with the stock shocks...
