I was looking at the rear kit, and noticed this:

"Note: Installation of this kit requires partial removal of the dust shield and minor trimming of caliper mounts."

I knew the dust shield would have to go, but trimming of the caliper mounts? Does anyone know what part of the mounts are trimmed? Also, I would assume that they include a mounting bracket, shouldn't it come pre-trimmed? Maybe the trimming is to the mounting surface.

Yes, the rear kit does come w/ a bracket. The top of mounting surface of the rear hub needs to be filed down a few thousands of an inch to fit perfect. The slight modification is required to insure 100% Pad to rotor contact with ZERO overlap.

Sorry, but I think the pricing on the group buy is firm.

FirstZ, where in southern MA are you? I'm up in Waltham, and I rarely see other Z's when out driving around.

I'm interested in the front and rear 4pot. I only need to know if calipers will clear my volks...

and you say the rotors are 13.6 and only will come slotted?? not cross drill?

I’m running a 26mm offset with plenty of room to spare, my guess is even a 30mm offset would work. I know they can special order dimpled/slotted rotors like on my set-up, not sure about drilled, but personally I would say away from drilled rotors.

Default Update!

Fastbrakes has offered drilled/slotted rotors in any combination for the group buy prices.

They also have 3 front slotted kits ready to ship, just need two more kits to go!

Ok! We have two people for full sets. The 3rd person backed, we just need one buyer for a front or rear kit.

Yes, 13.2" not 13.6", I think they need to update thier website considering fastbrakes does not offer that kit for the Z.

The lowest price on the front kit is $1,500.00

Default Group Buy Full!

Congrats!

We now have the five kits required for the group buy! I will be sending the buyers an email CCing Brian at fastbrakes with the details.
