Hey guys, well i got my 06 about a week or so ago and i've always had in mind to do my suspension as my first mod. well i've been on the forums for some time now and i have seached but i cant seem to find anything that relates to lowering an 06 with springs and shocks. im all about the stance of the car (i want in to look aggressive) i would like some recomendations on shocks and springs for my 06 if possible please include a pic as for ride quality...i could care less as long as the stance looks right. thanks for any and all help.

Mix and matching springs and shocks are not always the best way to go, dependent on you know exactly what you want and what specs you are looking for. The only spring and shock combination that comes to mind is NISMO S Tune. The springs are a mild drop but the springs rates of the and valving of the shocks were all made and engineered to work together. Another option is to look into coilovers.

I think all of the options apply, with the exception of the Hotchkis kit. That seems to be optimized for the shock valving up to 04.5. That said, you should be able to find a plethora of information here.

Thanks for the help guys =] i've always considered a coilover system b/c of how simple it can be to adjust the dampering force and the ride hight. i however was never fond of the price, but now that i came across the Tein Basic kit i think i know in what direction i want to head. i just have a few Questions: with the Basic Kit can i adjust dampering aswell as ride hight?? (i would think so being that its a coilover) but not sure. And what is the difference b/w the Basic and the Type Flex? (is it only that the Flex is compatible with the EDFC system and the Basic is not, or is ther more to it?)
BTW ahwai519 YOUR CAR LOOKS SIIIIIICCCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!! thanks for the pic. do you happen to have others (pics) and care to post them, that would be great. thanks again.

chriztt, glad you like my car. Thanks for the compliment!
Tein basic only allows you to adjust ride height and the shocks are non-adjustable. For Tein Flex, other than compatible with EDFC, it allows separate ride height or springs preload adjustments (someone correct me if I am wrong). Basically, Tein basic is an entry level coilover system for those who do not have great needs to adjust to different settings, whereas the flex allows different settings to accomodate the situations. Hope it helps!
