Default Nismo suspension @ dealership

While at the dealership waiting for a 2nd temp tag (don't ask), I ventured to the parts dept. to ask for the price for the Nismo suspension--coilovers + f&r sways--just out of morbid curiousity. $2300, not including install, of course. Just thought I'd share.

On the same topic, I'm REALLY torn between Cusco and Hotchkis for sways. This is a base model '06 Z, and I'm planning on the build on this order: 1.Sways 2. Coilovers 3. BBK yadda yadda yadda then end @ FI. This car will see the track 4-6 times a year (VIR, most likely), but will see the occasional twisty on backroads. From what I've gathered, the Cusco sways are 2 way adj. up front (120% and 137% stiffer), with 0 adjustment in back(173% stiffer). From my driving habits, this seems the way to go. If you all think differently, please educate me, and suggest otherwise. Coilovers are next, and would like them to compliment the sways.

Thanks for any/all responses!

$2300...wow!

If you were on Oahu, HI. Spend your money on the coilovers and swaybars elsewhere...I'll reserve a date at my Dad's shop so we could put the car on the lift, bring a case of beer and call it a day.

Oh, I plan to get the goodies elsewhere. The base here has a lift you can rent for little to nothing, I'll be doing all the work myself anyway.
Appreciate the offer. I'm all about drinking beer and working on cars....or drinking beer and watching football....actually, anything involving drinking beer. I have a buddy stationed at Hickam, he loves the islands, the lucky bastard.

My fault, I meant Hotchkis instead of HK in my post.

With all the offerings out there for swaybars there is no reason not to get an adjustable setup. The purpose of swaybars is to fine tune your suspension setup. And since you plan on going coilovers the adjustable swaybars make sense.

I must say I installed the nismo suspension and swaybars a few weeks ago and its a big leap over the stock setup. Next to no body roll now, and practically eliminated all understeer. The drop was perfect, and the suspension was still able to align to nismo specs without any problems.
