Need some help people v.brakes
I don't know if my brakes are working quite right. They seem to feel ok under normal braking however when I am stopped, I can push my brake pedal all the way to the stops. I've replaced the pads with Hawks and had the brake fluid flushed/bled. I though perhaps I had an air bubble but the bleeding would have taken care of that. When I first had the Hawks installed my brakes felt nice and strong but they quickly went back to feeling a bit mushy.
I've never been 100% happy with the way my brakes feel. I've done a few near panic stops to test them and the car seems to brake ok but I just don't know.
Can anyone tell me if you can also push the brake pedal all the way to the floor while stopped? I'm beginning to suspect a leaky master cylinder could be my problem.
thanks

The stock calipers have some inherent flex along with the rubber brake lines which you may be experiencing. If you have good pedal feel under braking and the pedal doesnt want to drop to the floor then you are probably not having any serious issues.
I recommend you upgrade to the stoptech stage 2 kit. Performance nissan carries it. The SS lines will give you a very good pedal feel, the axxis ultimate pads are very good, and the motul brake fluid has given me zero problems. The rotors are also wearing very nicely, since the pads are not as harsh as the hawk hps on the rotors.
Before you commit to buying anything, I would try bleeding your brakes one more time... this time tap the calipers with a rubber mallet while bleeding to dislodge any air bubbles.
