If your goal is to make your Z look like the one pictured, you'll need to save up quite a bit of $$$ after you pay for your rims. Study the photo carefully; there's A LOT more going on with the looks of that car than just lowering springs, and A LOT more $$$ spent to achieve the look.

Welcome. There is plenty of suspension information and photos in the suspension forum.

well i don't want to copy the pic. i would like to get my Z lower. maybe not that low, now that i think about it i don't think it would last to long with the local streets around here.
after the rims mod, i just want to give the car a lil more agressive look

There is a wealth of information in the brakes/suspension forum about lowering products and members' experiences/recommendations on these products. davidv gave you good advice-do some research to help narrow the question. I'm sure you'll find a product that meets your goal and that fits w/in your budget.

That is some of the lowest Z I've ever seen! Looks like
Z with Michael Jordan Shoes...
With that set up, you will have to pay some money to look like that.
You will need to change your camber kit and off course, roll the fender line. You will scrap the hell out of your bottom bumper..
especially if you have lib on it like on that picture..that looks like
CF bumper to me.
IMO, that looks too extreme for me....

I hope you don't want it to look exactly like that. That car has some serious camber issues. If you want it anywhere near that low, you're going to need coilovers.

babyit11 - you want to roll around LI like that? Your car won't last 6 months without having to replace every bushing, ball joint, steering rack component, etc.

Being from LI myself, and driving a low Z, I can tell you this from first hand experience. Unless you only plan to take the car on the LIE, and never on any local roads, you don't want to go quite that low

your right. after i really paid attention to the pic, i realize that it would be impossible to have the car that low. i will be more then happy to get an inch drop on the car, and the car would last me alot longer too.

let us know what route you want to go - we're local, and own 2 Z's, and know the cars backwards and forwards in terms of suspension setup

If you go with those 10.5's in rear you will have to have your fenders rolled. Any good body shop can do this or you can rent the tool (I would advise letting pro's do it so you don't chip the paint or eliminate a crease somewhere). This car is setup for show not go, so if you are going to trailer it around don't worry about toe and camber adjustment kits. If this is for go, you will need 3k for the "attack rims," coilovers and a front and rear toe and camber set. Plus, you will need money to fix all the scrapes, dents, and scratches you are going to get with everyday driving--i.e, hitting something in the road or going in and out of a steep driveway. Once its lowered you, it will change where you stop to get gas (if they have a steep drive into the station forgeddaboutit). Oh, ya getting the AXIS Hiro's--ok cool. Get the fenders rolled and wait to you get some more cash to do it right. Many people just drop their cars and end up eating tires becuase they didn't want to put camber/toe kits.
