Default Beware when using Endless Vita Nuevo brake pads.

Those endless pads I installed a couple of months ago chewed up my front rotors. I have the standard non-brembos brake system.

I installed the Endless Vita Nuevo something pads. I am as easy as I can be with my Z. "The less braking" the better is my motto.

About a week ago my TCS, Slip, and SES lights came on steady and when I took it to the dealer they said I needed new front rotors and they were to bad to "turn them"

I myself felt a lip around the outermost edge of the rotors. And the rears with the stock pads were smooth.

Oh well Im going back to stock pads and the "dust" now with my new rotors.

I know a bunch of you guys are gonna say "shouldve used HAWKS". Will they do the same thing?

Cost me like $375 bucks. 148 a piece for the new rotors and $60 for new pads, and I have to install them myself. At least its an easy install.

hawks suck. they probably do the same thing. stock does the same too. Brake harder for less time that usually helps

I've had the Hawks for 20K miles, no problems here. Either buy new rotors or Hawks.

how about EBC Greenstuff brake pads for less dust, they aren't made for the track...but are known for less dust and are supposedly as good as stock.

Soon as my pads need replacements, it's the way I will choose.

I've heard good things about the Project Mu pads. I have the Hawk HPS pads myself and wouldn't recommend them to anyone personally. Not when there are better options. There's also Nismo pads that I have heard are pretty good.

I should get some Endless brake pad, destroy my rotors, then I'll have a lame excuse to my girlfriend to get some BBK...

Pads and rotors must be matched [cast iron density grade] to optimize wear rates.

Soft dusty oem pads and soft quiet oem rotors.........mix and match at your peril.

Pad dust is loads better than cast iron fillings.

Anytime you go with a better biting pad, you are definitely going to wear the rotors harder and faster. You just have to find your happy medium.

Humm... i have had endless sss pads on my car, much more agressive than that vita nuova pads and i dont have any wear problems. did you use a new rotor when installing the endless pads? so far, i have had 2 sets of front endless sss pads and only now at 45k im seeing a minor lip around the outside edge. mind you i track my car about once a month as well.

Not to be rude but it sounds like you did not properly install the brakes. The Vita Nuova's are not that aggressive, theyre a street pad so it should not chew up your rotors. I run much more agressive pads than the Vita Nuova's and its been on the car for about 20K miles and not a single problem. Did you bed the pads in after you installed them?

That's what I am thinking. I run PMU b-force/oem rotor and at 20K, they are fine, showing slight wear, like it should.

Im going to agree with Andy - the dash lights (TCS, slip) have nothing to do with rotor thickness either.

How many miles were on your rotors when you fit the Endless pads? The VN are about as mild a compound as you can get.

1+ on Axxis Ultimate. I have them on Stoptech rotor for OEM Brembo. A little bit more noise then OEM pad/rotor, tt works very well for street driving.

I have the Vita Nuova's on my coupe w/brembos, rotors are original with 32K miles on them. Once you bed them in, they work flawless. I have had them on for 3 weeks so far. Only thing is there is no wear indicator, so you might want to glance at your pads/master cylinder every couple of weeks.

Next time you install brake pads, you should definitely make sure the rotors have been freshly machined... and make sure to follow the bed-in procedure. (better yet, just get new rotors)

Hawk HPS will do the same thing to your rotors. I like the axxis ultimate, I'm getting very even wear on the rotors.

Also keep in mind that Endless pads do not have an integrated "sensor" like OE pads so you need to physically check them periodically to make sure they haven't worn down too much.

I agree with the other vendors here like Andy and Adam, that this is a street pad and should not be that abrasive. I think they might not have been checked and wore down too far.

you will not hear a "squeal" from endless pads when they have worn down. Please remember to check them.
