If your going to make real use of what you have now you've got to be a whole lot more honest with yourself. Everyone has to establish when they've reached the most productive spring rate level. What may be your ideal may be someone else's lower ET's because they can't keep the tires in contract with the pavement.
The original owner ran this setup as well and had no complaints. They are inferior compared to the TC Klines, but if someone's on a tight budget, then it's tolerable.

But this is my first time playing around with the suspension, and obviously you have far more experience in this category, so I won't argue.

Gsedan35 and XuperXero: did you all note the wierd coil diameter change on the top coil of the front T2 springs? I still have them sitting in the closet, and when I was mating them to my TCKR dampers the other day, the springs simply don't fit with the upper OEM rubber mount, and hardly fit with the metal hats. It seems that coil narrows about .25" or so at that point... very wierd design...

Also, do you all have the recommended settings from TCKR available to post?

Glad to know you like the D-spec shock and spring combo. I was hoping running those springs with their shocks was the missing link. Those springs didn't work so well with Koni shocks as I've mentioned before.
Yes I like them. I wish I could adjust dampening and cmopression seperately. I can tell by the way it drives what is missing, even though I thought I'd never feel a difference.

Thanks. I'm going with Tokico springs/dampers as well, there is a package deal out there somewhere but my nismo v2 front just showed up and the body shop man is getting my spring money for the time being... maybe in a month when I get my bonus check I'll grab the kit.

Warning though on the tokickos. The springs dropped me 1.5'' in the rear instead of the 1'' advertised. Doesnt matter to me, it was a perfect drop.

I didn't have any problems with fitting the rubber mount...

As for recommended settings, I emailed TC Klines and asked them for some settings, this is the reply I got:

Compression is on the bottom of the shock/ 13 positions. Rebound is on
the top 2- 2.5' revolutions are available for adjustment. There is no
such thing as factory settings. However I can recommend starting
TRACK/AUTOCROSS settings to you. For the street, just choose what feels
good to you.

Rebound: FRONT- full firm -1 turn REAR full firm -1/2 turn
Compression: FRONT- full firm -8 clicks REAR full firm -4 clicks

Just not to be confused... what he means is turn the settings to full stiff or firm and then turn back the clicks.

Thanks - I was just looking for some baseline settings although I have some other settings for the track.

Odd - even with just trying to piece the round peg (rubber mount) to round hole (spring) individually, they don't fit. I'll have to get off my lazy *** later this morning and post pics as the metal hat really doesn't look like it'll fit with the spring either (I suspect the end of the coil will cut into the hat once the weighted with the body of the car).

OK, my little dilemma here. Note in the first two photos how the coil diameter decreases at the top of the spring. On the third photo, note how the inside of the top coil contacts the inside of the strut hat. On the fourth photo you can see the rubber mount won't fit without cutting off the bottom portion.

I'm a bit hesitant to complete the install as I worry that the contact between the inside of the top spring coil and the strut hat will apply a lateral force he shaft of the strut - thus ruining the damper...

Interesting... Mine was not like that at all... The rubber mount and hat just slipped in on top without a problem for me. It appears that either your rubber mount and hat may be oversized or the nismo springs may be undersized.

Perhaps you might have got the wrong nismo springs? Although, it does look pretty identical to mine...

edit: My springs coil diameter shortens a bit at the top as well. Still doesn't make sense why it wouldn't fit.
