What do you guys think is a good price for a shop to charge for putting on some tein s tech springs on the Z? The guy told me $150...does that sound about right? Or is he trying to pull a fast one on me??

 

its pretty simple to do. If u get some air tools u can get it done in 2hrs. 150 isnt bad. I was quoted 300 from the dealer.

If you trust where you’re taking your car, just get a quote from them and ask to speak to the tech that will be doing the job. When you talk to the tech ask him if he would consider doing it as side work for straight cash on a Sat. Most dealers and shops are open on Sat with out the watchful eye of upper management (cause they don't work sat). I got full break job, alignment rotation and oil change for like $50, but I did bring new pads and oil filter with me. Dropped it off around 8 and picked it up around 1. Also a good way to make a nice relationship with a Tech. Also see if you can hang around the shop and help out, it's a great way to get to know your car and it might teach you something. Can't beat a free education, But that's just my .02
