Front & Rear Camber Kits Available
This kit sounds interesting. After lowering the car about 1" I was able to get the offest to -.9 front and -1.3 rear. I would like to take the car a bit lower and will need something like this kit to do this. Taking the car down to 1 1/2 caused -1.2 front and -1.6 rear.
lotus,
Thanks for the info about the numbers you were getting. I am thinking about the same drop and these kits claim a least 2 degrees of compensation so that makes me feel better.

Jak,
Usually when you adjust camber, the toe goes out of wack pretty bad. Im assuming by "traction bar" they meant toe adjustment.
Im baffled though untill I see a picture. Yes, pleaseeeeeeeee keep us updated.
Also what was the total damage for the front/rear?

wadd3456,
It was $320.00 for the rear and $320.00 for the front. $640.00 TOTAL to my door. It was just a little more than $100.00 that I would have paid for the JIC rear kit only.

How do you adjust stock rear camber 3/4 degree? Is there just play in the bushings? I have Eibach's, but I now have 3.5 deg camber in back and I have lost traction exiting corners. My front is also almost 2.5 and braking is probably affected.
Your right. There is a cam adjust for toe on both lower arms which will give some camber adjustment with the toe. This is not an easy adjustment and must be made carefully so that the two sides are equal in camber and tow. I have done this on my Miata.
keep us updated on this. i currently have the JIC traction and camber rods on the rear and the car is on eibachs. we have it set right at -1 on the rear for now. the car handles great and is more neutral but that could also be because of my tire size change. i need something for the front and so far no one has it. if this works for the front well let me know and i'll get a set ASAP.
I have the kits on order and they were suppose to ship last Wednesday or Thursday. Apparently in Australia they are luckey and have a four day weekend over Easter so they didn't get shipped until Tuesday the 22nd.
Kevin at K-Mac told me that they shipped them air post and to expect them in 7 - 10 days. Hopefully by the end of next week.
I will keep everyone updated and take some pictures of the parts when I get them and what the kits look like on the car after they are installed.

Excellent, please keep us up to date. IF this setup works, I cant compete in a million years with that price. If it doesnt work so well, I will continue making my rods.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Interesting topic!
I am debating between Eibach and NISMO S suspension. To the best of my knowledge, Eibachs lowers 1.2 "/.8" and NISMO is 3/4". If the Eibach cost about $230 and then about $640 to get the alignment correct, it seems like it has lost the big cost advantage over NISMO considering it will handle much better with NISMO and I assume that Nissan will warranty the car for tire wear being it is a Nissan product??? Am I looking at the NISMO thru rose colored glasses or will the NISMO S suspension need alignment ($640) cost in addition to the $1200 suspension kit.
Someone installed the NISMO suspension kit. Did they check for camber settings? Was there camber adjustments needed on that install.

After a lot of research on the situation I have concluded that any drop more than 3/4" on the rear will not be able to be brought back into spec by the limited adjustment we have on our vehicles. And of course the front is not adjustable.
From all that I have learned my guess would be that you would most likely be able to bring the rear camber back to spec with using the Nismo S-Tune since the drop is only around 3/4". The fronts of course will be running more negative camber so with the Nismo setup you may only need the front kits depending how much it is out of spec and whether you can live with it.
The camber using Eibachs at a 1.2" drop at the rear, most likely can't be brought back to spec and would require both front and rear kits. So you're right Eibachs + kits are approaching the cost of a Nismo setup. The full Nismo setup would be way better than just springs for a few dollars more.
Not correcting the camber only results in excessive tire wear and changes the handling characteristics. Some guys I talked to actually liked more negative camber do to better cornering abilities but at the sacrifice of straight away traction and tire wear.

Finally, I received my rear camber kit from Australia. I am expecting the front kit any day since they shipped them separately.
It took longer to get these than I was told. Originally I was told 10-14 days, in reality it took longer than a month.
Apparently when I ordered the kits they were not in production yet and there was some confusion. I dealt with Kevin over at K-Mac and he was a great guy to work with. He gave me the front kits for free because of the confusion and delay I experienced so that made me real happy. All four wheels cost me $344.00 with shipping.
As far as I know I am the first Z to have these kits.
Here is what they look like.

This is the manual of what is required to install these. I should have the rear kits on this weekend and will take pics of the install. It looks straight forward and pretty easy.

These look great!!! Looks liek you could get a full 3 degrees either side of stock!
$344 is incredible deal!
Please keep us posted! If they work out good for you I'm all over them.
Thanks for the update
