Default Stock Brake performance @ VIR Track Day

We had 3 Peformance/Touring models and 1 Track model at the South course of VIR this weekend with Triangle Z Club/Tar Heel Sports Car Club. Of the Performance/Touring models, I replaced my lines w/ SS, used track pads, and Motul 600 fluid. The Track, (bhobson) I think didn't see any fade. My brakes, once up to temp, were fine all weekend long. The other 2, Eric1H and Canadian, were stock and both boiled and even wore down to the pads. I am glad that I did the upgrades and will continue to use track pads on track days. I should have new tires and am considering R compounds for the next event. Overall I think this combination of brake upgrades for the stock brakes seems to have paid off. We will see if it stands up to VIR north course next month...

VIR-south course is VERY hard on brakes. I would say with some certainty if you had no problems there, you'll be fine just about anywhere.

Robert, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. I'm positive we'll catch up at some track again somewhere...

Oh yeah, my pads were Panther+ from Carbotech. Great stuff!
