Post Carbotech Bobcat review

Had my stock (non-Brembo) pads replaced F/R with Carbotech Bobcats last week. The dust from the OEM pads was driving me nuts.

Overall, a solid upgrade...

- Firmer pedal
- Less pedal travel
- Good initial bite
- Less dust (by at least 1/2)

About $200 w/ shipping, including a 10% discount for My350Z.

I had these on my rear Performance stock brakes and after 2 full track days had 2mm left. They should be fine for z street application. I ordered a set of Panter+ rears for my next track days. Track pads are a must for any track days on stock brakes. I already had Panter+ on my fronts and they worked great. The other 2 Zs that had stock brakes and pads, boiled and wore through their pads.

these sound like great pads and would be an ideal solution for those who want to track their cars. But how does this pad deal with everyday street situations where it's freezing sometimes, raining sometimes, and there is no opportunity to warm up the brakes?

Bobcat is our street pad. It has been very cold here in the east this winter and I had no problems what-so-ever stopping my car when temps were in the teens.

Our Panther line of pads is intended for track use.

I used the Panther + in the fronts and the Panther in the rear of my Track model Z for two track events. The brakes were great at Texas World Speedway.

Since my stock pads were getting a little thin, I left the Carbotech pads in following the most recent track event. Been driving on the street for about three weeks. A little noisy every now and then, but man-o-man does the car stop!

If the Bobcat is as grippy, with less noise and dust, then I will buy them as soon as these Panther + wear out.

I just bought Panther XP for the front Brembos. Taking them to the track on May3-4. Needed something a little more aggressive for my driving style.

Just an update on the Bobcats... After driving with them for 2 weeks, I'd say the dust is about 80% less than OEM. Street performance is excellent. Highly recommended.
