Default Better-looking brakes?

Do I have to shell out a few grand on a BBK to make my brakes look better? There's gotta be a cheaper way.

Umm brakes are a pretty worth while mod and not something to cheap out on. It's not really just "looks" thing.

you could retrofit 4 wheel factory brembos used for under 2K
you could go BBK for 3+
you could just get a set of these covers: JK

Just get the rears for about 2 g's. You dont need the front. Fronts are more for show.

Brakes are for stopping. Haven't the faintest what you consider better looking.

Add some new pads, SS lines, and dot-4 fluid as well. All for under $500

I believe there should be a LAW that requires brake modifiers to ACCURATELY test and certify aftermarket conversions and PROVE that they stop better [shorter or equal] than oem in a panic 70 mph stop........especially with larger than oem wheeels and tires.

Too many bad braking cars with $5,000 worth of wheels and painted brake systems.

In a single panic 70-0 stop, BBK will make no difference. You want to stop shorter? Get better tires.

Look through the classifieds, there are usually plenty of used BBK's in there including fact. original brembo sets.

+1 That's what I did. I used the G2 kit to paint the calipers black and they turned out great. I didn't want to go with red or some other color that makes people think that they were more than what they are, OEM brakes. Just looking to clean it up a bit.

I think his point is that a improperly sized BBK could make things worse than stock.
