Default GT Spec brace. Did i mess up?!?!?!

I just ordered the GTSpec Aluminum Rear Lateral Arm Brace. The one that hangs down just behind the pumpkin. I have the nismo cat back exhaust. Will i still be able to use this?? I know i should of probably researched this better first. I ran across a couple sites that say you can't use with aftermarket exhaust. I didn't know if the Nismo qualified as such. Or if they mean like true duals. Anyone help!!

Nevermind. I just called them and they said it only appries to the 4 point brace. And he said even that works with 95% of aftermarket exhausts.

the rear lateral brace, shown here, only works with true duals

it will not fit with your NISMO exhaust, or any other single-pipe exhaust

I called Intense Motorsports and they assured me with Nismo i would have no problems at all. I guess we'll see.

if you got the brace shown above, I can save ya the effort of even trying...it won't come close to bolting up

if you got the one that goes to the rear portion of the cross member (no bends, just a straight bar) shown here:

then it will fit

I called again yesterday, and they swore it would fit, if not i'll send back for the straight on that goes above. They said i'd get a full refund. We'll see though. Or it'd prob be easier to just sell in the classifieds since it'll be brand new.

Haha, I've had some bad experiences buying from Intense. Their sales people don't know jack about most of the products they sell.

Those that do have the bar, how do you like it? Can you tell a difference with it?

I'm not sure that you can feel anything significantly different with that bar alone. It must work in combination with your other suspension modifications for it to feel different than your stock setup. I have all four GTSPEC braces -- Front Lower, Rear Lower, Rear Lateral Arm, and Mid-Chassis Reinforcement Braces - and it does make a difference on improving my Z's handling characteristics.

actually this bar has the most significant difference among all of them, as a standalone mod, but again it only works on true dual exhausts

the other braces (front lower arm, rear lower arm, mid chassis) all will work on either true dual equipped cars, or "single" exhaust cars

I wish somebody would make one of these that fits with the Nismo exhaust. I have the others and like them, but would like to have one that braces this area as well...

You probably have the one that goes behind the rear diff - called the rear lower arm bar (staight bar, no bends).

The rear lateral brace, as I showed above (undercar shot), will not clear any single pipe exhausts due to where the bend in the bar is
