Default What you think of my rotor rust covers?

if you look between the spokes you can see my rust situation that is not to appealing to the eye. i could of painted it but that would be too easy and who knows how long it would last.

i got me some stainless steel covers that are only .016", just a tad over 1/3 of a millimeter thick. they are super thin so they wont effect my offset. and they wont ever rust.. which is good..

the company makes saw blade designs, normal round, etc...

i took a few pics, tell me what you think of em. stupid looking? or cool?

here is the rust that is plainly visable..

nice rust... oh yes

here is the sawblade cover. its just a little bigger than the hub so that you can see the teeth.. i like it

here is the plain round cover. does the job of hiding rust, but thats all.

here is the wheel with the sawblade cover...

another...

here is a shot with just the plain cover with the wheel on..

just wanted to show ya and get some opinions..

I believe the saw blade version is a bit tacky for my taste, but I really like the plain cover. This is an excellent remedy to people's wheels that "stick" to the hub after a bit of oxidation has built up. I use to have to mallet my wheels off until I started coating the hub around the lug area with a thin layer of axle grease. I still have to mallet them off, but it's alot easier in comparison.

Is this an invention of yours? If it is, well done! I like the idea.

There are also a LOT of different varieties of saw blades you could use too, maybe even something with a lot more teeth.. Even black saw-blades..

For maximum effect put the saw blade outside the wheel.

T-minus how long until the covers are rusted too?

How heavy are they? That would be my only gripe. More unspring weight.
