Default Sidewalls cuts=trashed tire?

Yes or no? No doubt its right on the sidewall about 1/2" razor thin vertical slit. I've had the worst luck with these damn tires. If you guys remember me Im the one that had a nail in my left(or right) rear and had to buy a new one. When i got to florida I had a patchable nail on the other rear. And now this slit on the sidewall. I cant afford to dish out $380 again for gdamn tires. Im gona have to buy something cheaper. Any sugestions? 245/40/18 potenza is what i have now.

edit:aw damit now i posted this under the brakes/suspension section. Lil help mods? ty.

From what I was told sidewall injuries cannot be repaired. Sorry. How deep is it?

all the way through. Before i noticed the slit I tried using "flat in a can" after i squirted the foam I could see it seeping from that slit. I just got done replacing the tire w/ the spare. Im thinking about keeping it like that for a bit while I shop around for the best deal. btw did you know a spare is rated for up to 50mph? The speedlimit to work is 65mph. Think that would be pushing it?

Yes spares are rated for a lower speed, but I always see people flying down the highway with them. Definately replace that tire then.
