Default Lowering the Z

I do not know if I am just confused or wrong. I have been searching to answer my questions but I just keep seeing the same thing. When you lower the Z with springs, do you not need new shocks and struts because the ride would be ****ty as hell? And I thought that coilovers had a lot worse ride than just shocks and springs? Info?
Thanks

Coilovers would provide more adjustability. You can often set them soft or hard, or switch between settings on the fly. These are your best option IMO but they are wicked expensive.

What do you want to do? You can swap out just the springs and be lowered but ride about the same as stock.

No. Purely optional unless you're really slamming the car. Some people thing you should but most people don't. I just swapped out my springs and everything has been great for nearly 10k miles now.
