Cool PICS of Stoptechs and RAYS installed on my SS Touring.

Finally got her cleaned up and snapped some pics today. I LOVE the brakes! The black calipers are simply SINISTER behind the RAYS and I catch a LOT of people STARING at the StopTechs.

I did the install myself, which is not bad for a guy who has never even changed his own oil. Michael-Dallas provided his bleeding expertise to finish the job.

I have the Rays and Imay have to go the Stoptech route as well, I will be going to a track event this Sunday so we will see if I can live with stock brakes one more time.

They look great.

Lookin' tight!

I'd throw on some clear reflectors to clean it up some IMO.

what are the widths of the wheels? are they the same all around like the touring wheels? it almost looks like the front wheels have a wider lip than the rears. btw, i like the the black stoptechs. much more subtle than the red ones.

Everytime I get ready to replace my track Rays wheels with an aftermarket set, I take another look at them and realize how beautiful they really are, and how well they work with the Z's overall design. Even though you can fill up the wheel wells more with some bigger and wider rims, I still haven't seen anthing that looks that much better than the stock track wheels, although the TE-37's (in 19"...the 18's don't work for me) come close.

How long was the install and what about it took the longest to get installed and adjusted if anything? Looks good..

The difference is NIGHT and DAY. I still have yet to finish bedding the pads, which I'll do early in the A.M. tomorrow, and the feel right now is incredible. I'm sure it will be absolutely SICK when I put track pads on prior to my next event.

I'm not at liberty to say, for I fear that riots would ensue. Let's just say that a friend presented a deal that I simply could not refuse. WAY below what anyone else has ever paid.

Thanks, man! I'm a little late in trying to catch up to guys like you and SKiDaZZLe. Awww, who the f**k am I kidding? I'll never catch up.

I'm taking it slow and putting a lot of thought into everything so I do it right the first time. I'm still living with BLOSE and don't really care!

hey droideka,

i'm still living with the BLOSE too!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd rather put my money into performance mods than tunes.

i like the sound of the engine more than the stereo anyways.

There are two difficult parts of the install. Trimming the dust shield without completely removing it first and getting the bridge over the pads to fit on the calipers after the taking it off for the first time. The bridge is EXTREMELY tight with NO TOLERANCE built in. That's a hallmark of the StopTech caliper design which makes the caliper extremely rigid, but it also makes the install take longer than it should.

Maybe I should make that part of my sig... I use 3M Imperial Hand glaze once every 3-4 months and follow up immediately with 3M Perfect-It Show Car Wax. Today's pics were shot after about 5 washes on the current wax job.

Droid, how do you think wheels like Volk GT-7's will stack up in 19" on the track ? They're about 21lbs or so.

I hear you, believe me. Nissan should of given us trackers 19x10s in the rear and 19x8.5 in front. The rays track wheel would be a beauty in 19. As soon as I see a wheel similar enuff to it in 19 I am all over it!

BTW Nice photos Droid! The attention to the location you chose makes me think you are a photographer by trade!

Those are great pics man- Stoptechs look great behind the Rays. And the location of the pictures (background) is outstanding.

Default Beautiful pics

Did you have a professional take the pics. Very nice. If you did it yourself, I'd say you've got some talent.
