Default Alignment Data after Eibach Drop *look*

I know there has been some back and forth on the board about getting yoru alignment set correctly after the eibach drop. Here is the offical answer to that question.

Before Alignment
FR:
Camber: L= -1.3(ok), R= -1.7(ng)
Caster: L= 9.0(ng) , R= 8.9(ok)
Toe: L= -.15(ng), R= -.10(ng)

RR:
Camber: L=-1.9 (ok), R=-2.3(ng)
Toe: L=0.20(ok), R= 0.15(ok)

After Alignment

FR
Camber: L=-1.4(ng), R=-1.7(ng)
Caster: L=9.0(ng), R=8.9 (ok)
Toe: OK OK

RR:
Camber: L=-1.8(ok), R=-1.9(ok)
Toe: L=0.05(ok), R=0.10(ok)

Long story short, the front obviously cant be fixed since there is 0 adjustment so expect "some" extra wear. The rear can be JUST barely put back to spec with an alignment.

What were your readings before the Eibach installation, I am about to install them and want to know how much it will affect it.

Also how long did you wait to do alignment after Eibach installtion.

It didnt make sense to me to get an alignment before the install so I have no baseline. I just have the drop vs. what the specs are. As long as its in spec your ok.

I waited about a week. I only drove MAYBE 100 miles during that time but they were already installed in someone elses Z prior to mine so they are settled.

OK, I wasn't sure if you had feathering and hence an alignment.

My problem is I am already looking at -1.3 on one side so it will definetly be way out after dropping it, I guess some adjustable arms will be in my future.

so you are saying it's not worth the trouble to do the alignment since the front can't be adjusted, and the rear, even after adjusted, there not much change right?

I have not done any alignment on the car after the springs, and debating if I should or not... this will make my decision easier..

Thanks for the info!

Im not really saying anything actually

I guess its worth the alignment since they can adjust the camber in the rear back to spec and can get the toe right. But your correct the front camber is a lost cause.

Where my camber is at now it should be OK. Not perfect, but not horrid either.

Get the bushings from australia if your going to get a camber kit

another excellent reason to get the Australian camber kit is you can also adjust caster...

Caster adjustment will fix that drifting problem alot of us seem to have

alot of guys (me included) have a pretty bad drifting (pulling) to the right problem. If I let the wheel go, I'm fully in the next lane within 4 seconds.

Alignment shop says front toe is perfectly at spec... they say the only way to correct a pulling problem is to adjust caster

Nissan has a TSB out now that is "supposed" to fix it.. basically a bushing that offsets the compression rod, but it only fixes it about half.... mine still pulls, even after the TSB. I need caster adjustment!

Is there a web site that shows the TSB's that Nissan puts out?

Default Eibach Drop

Here's my spec's on the Alignment with the Eibach Pro-Kit:

Before Alignment:
FR:
Camber: L-1.2 , R-1.4
Caster: L 8.1 , R 7.9
Toe: L- 0.09 , R 0.12
Total Toe: 0.03
RR:
Camber: L -2.8 , R -2.7
Toe: L 0.30 , R 0.24
Total Toe: 0.54

After Alignment:
FR:
Camber: L -1.2 , R -1.4
Caster: L 8.1 , R 7.9
Toe: L 0.03 , R 0.02
Total Toe: 0.05

RR:
Camber: L -2.0 , R -2.0
Toe: L 0.10 , R 0.11
Total Toe: 0.21

So their was some adjustment , and the wear should be small at best.
