ABS Engaging Early
Problem: ABS system engages while driving (you can hear the buzzing sound of it even while not breaking at slower speeds) and the ABS system engages everytime the breaks are applied even at slow speeds and on dry pavement.
I brought it into the dealer and they replaced an ABS sensor so they could continue further diagnosing the problem, they found the front rotors were below minimum thickness (not warped though) and the pads still had life left in them. I am somewhat at a loss of what to do from here should I have the dealer diagnose further possible solutions to this problem and fix one thing at a time until it is resolved or has anyone encountered this before and if so please shed some light here...
I currently have new wheels and tires on order and will be mounting, balancing, and aligning by the end of this week. I am hoping switching from 235 19" rims n tires (all the way around) to the stock staggered stance with 18x9.5 with 265 in the front and 275 in the rear will fix it?
Would cleaning out the slotted area free of dirt fix this? Should I just replace the breaks (rotors and pads?)????
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
