Default Softer ride with Hotchkis TVS?

hey all,
have a 2005 ZR. I want to make the ride even more "luxury" smooth and soft. I've read from some people's opinions that upon install the ride was more "soft" and handled better.

just wanted to confirm if this is true. Thanks!

nevermind. upon further research, i found this post:
I spoke to Hotchkis today. They do not recommend using thier springs on the roadster. I was told that the rear of the roadster is heavier than the coupe and this caused additional compression of the springs.

Wish I had found that tidbit of info before putting those springs on my ZR. It is correct without a doubt.

Your oem rear springs are 427lbs in rate vs the Hotchkis rate of 330lbs. The Hotchkis springs were R&D for 03/04 oem coupe spring rates as a method to try and compinsate for poor shock control. You could provide yourself with a simple fix. Pull the rear Hotchkis springs, then pull out the oem upper spring seats. Cut .8" off the upper spring seats and dust off your oem rear springs and reinstall them with the oem upper spring seats you cut down. Gives you a .8" rear drop and 427lbs rear springs vs 330lbs.

Thanks for the info! I've been debating whether to do just that or go back with the stock springs front and back.

What are the negative side effects of these springs on a heavier z? I ask because I see a lot of Z's with 200+ lbs of audio gear...

So should you avoid these springs with a heavy audio as well?
