Emails should be sent to support@stoptech.com and our tech line phone number is 877-272-5301. Im not sure who youve been contacting but I asked both of our techs if they had heard from you and they said they havent. I informed them of this thread when you 1st started it and they are aware of the issue but have not had any calls or emails about it.

Erik will take care of you. Stoptech, from what i understand, has excellent customer service. Hopefully you will get this taken care of soon. Good luck and keep us posted.

I thought I'd chime in since I have the full BBK also. This is what I noticed:

I originally purchased the front kit only. I installed it, bled it, and made sure to immediately wipe up any drops of brake fluid that happened to seep out of the bleed hose, once I closed the bleeder valve. After the installation was done, I cleaned everything with Windex and went about my business. The paint is still intact and I have no problems.

A year later, I purchased the rear kit. I completed the same process, execept this time the paint seemed "cheaper" or of less quality for better words. The paint around the bleeder valve began peeling away immediately, if a single drop of brake fluid came in contact. I had to be extremely vigilant with it in order to keep it from becoming worse. It was the same type of paint peeling effect as pictured above, only not as worse.

IMO, I would think that such a quality part would have paint that could withstand at least a couple minutes of contact with brake fluid. It's not like we are dealing with acid here...

Mistico: I agree, but I'm not about to get into a pissing contest over this. I know that this should not have happened, but either way I'm going to be inconvenienced, whether I raise a fuss or not.

Opathal: I don't know if you read above, but I don't blame my vendor or StopTech. Maybe I should have done a little more research before placing my order and realized that if this is what happens when a little fluid spills (which is the only explanation I've received thus far), then maybe spending the $3,000+ elsewhere would have suited me better... Believe me, I'm not happy about this, but it's not the end of the world, either - I'll live...

ncparamedic: Thanks for the link, but I am not looking to spend any more money on these brakes! If something can be done, I'm hoping my shop will "take care of me" so to speak, but I'm not going to have them all powdercoated. Again, more inconvenience for me...

StopTechErik: I don't know if you think I'm lying or something. I have no benefit or interest in making up something. I know the first time I called I didn't speak with anyone. I left a message. The second time I was put on hold and ended up hanging up. And, just so you know, this wasn't last week or anything; it was months ago. I also sent more than one e-mail (I don't recall if it was to the address you posted). I also know I sent a PM in October about this (I don't believe it was to you - it was username STOPTECH). As I stated above in complete honesty, this has not been my top priority. Maybe it should have been, but I have had other things going on in my life, so I haven't been too concerned about it.

I do have a question for you, however, and I truly don't mean it to be rude at all, but if you can only address an issue a member has about the products you push on here by providing them that phone number or that e-mail address, why be on the forums at all? I mean, I read all your posts about the superiority of your products, etc... But when someone has an issue, however rare that may be, why forward them to someone else? If it's a simple matter of you not being a "tech" then I guess I can understand that, but I hope I'm not just trying to be passed on to someone else.

I can understand if I was an a$$hole about this whole thing, but I think most would agree that I have remained calm when most people may not have. It's not like this was a $100 modification. I am being 100% honest when I say I had not even driven the car when I noticed this. Then you post an admission that this is a problem that tends to occur. I am obviously no expert on big brake kits, but that seems a bit peculiar to me. When I say "you" I do not mean you personally. As a few people above stated (as well as my StopTech-sponsored friend), I was told that "Erik will take care of you." So please don't take my comments the wrong way, but I hope you can at least try to understand my frustrations/concerns.

Vo, i noticed that you had paint coming off of the end of your caliper thats no where near the bleeder valve..i honestly may have to rethink my position..I wouldnt think you would get brake fluid that far away, though i maybe wrong. I wonder how many people this has happened to that hasnt said anything.
